Give-A-WaysThirst no more!
During the College World Series week of June 13 - 23, 2009, the 9th Inning Ministry will give out a whopping 70,000 bottles of free ice-cold water along with sports magazines, baseball testimonial cards and pamphlets explaining how to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

These give-a-ways will be offered in various locations around the stadium, concerts following games, at the clinics, breakfast, Old Market area, and around the city. Over 750 volunteers participate each year handing out cold water.

Keynote speaker: Brian Hommel
Currently involved with the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball organization. Played in college at the University of Louisville earning a criminal justice degree, and then played 5 years of professional baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers until 1999 as a left-handed pitcher.

Eric Christopherson will also appear and will share some of his "best" baseball moments. He was drafted by the San Fransciso Giants in the first round as a Junior in college and played nine years in the big league as a catcher.

College World Series players will also attend and share their personal experiences.

Six locations around Rosenblatt Stadium:
1) West of Rosenblatt on 13th St,
2) N.W. of Rosenblatt on 13th St,
3) South of Rosenblatt across from Zestos,
4) & 5) Near the Henry Doorly Zoo, and
6)
Two blocks north of Rosenblatt on 10th St.

Each location will offer give-a-ways and ice cold bottled water 1.5 hours before each game.

Ballplayers will visit hospitals in Omaha!Hospital Visitation:
Professional / College World Series players will be visiting children and youth patients at local hospitals and offering autographed baseball cards, baseballs, and life changing pamphlets.

Bible Studies :
Several Bible studies are planned at the hotels for College World Series players and coaches that want to participate. These studies, taught by former Milwaukee Brewer, Brian Hommell. These will be announced and publicized through the selected CWS players and coaches.
